Lifecycle Management
While it is common practice to implement 25-year plans to ensure that resources and funds are available for the proper maintenance of large buildings, telecommunications infrastructure is rarely taken into account during these reviews. As a result, telecom assets can become an afterthought that is not considered until costly or urgent problems arise.
The Attain Group Lifecycle Management service helps IT and cable plant managers to ensure they have a solid plan – and budget – in place to maintain their telecommunications systems and upgrade them based on their future technology requirements.
The Attain Group will:
- Perform a telecommunications cable audit to document all existing telecom assets and to assess the state of those assets.
- Check for compliance to all applicable codes and standards.
- Provide a detailed lifecycle plan over 5-25 years, with associated tasks and budgets.
- Establish an up-to-date record of all low-voltage systems, along with a maintenance process.
- Provide records management services and/or software on an ongoing basis as required.
We also work with the design-build industry to ensure that telecommunications system design is integrated into new-building or re-fit design, construction, and budgeting.
