Tenant Telecom Interface
Now that the telecom industry is deregulated, tenant requests for technology and services are often directed to the property manager. Understanding the players involved, the services offered, and the associated liabilities is criticial to retain tenants and protect the building.
Requests for access to telecom rooms from a wide range of technicians are difficult to manage and create risk to the property. Guidelines for how the work should be performed and a means of verifying the quality of work are therefore required. A proliferation of technologies, both wired and wireless, also adds to the complexity of telecom property management today.
The Attain Group provides a representative who will work with the property manager to alleviate these concerns and provide a value-added service for tenants. The Attain Group will:
- Provide a single telecom interface for the building to manage telecom requests from tenants and carriers, including wired, wireless, and rooftop assets.
- Review all work requests, approve cabling plans, and verify (commission) all work after it is performed to ensure compliance with fire code and best practices.
- Facilitate all telecommunications-related planning and labour during tenant move-in/move-out events.
- Write, review, and approve tenant and carrier telecommunications contracts and license agreements.
- Manage the telecommunications design and execution for tenant re-fits.
